We needed to create an attractive outdoor ceremony space to compliment our smaller ballroom. Since being built in 1985, this room was pretty but its lack of a functional outdoor compliment made it less attractive than our other ballroom. Hickory Hollow helped us transform a hideous emergency exit alleyway into a breath-taking formal garden perfect for our facility. In a limited narrow space we were able to achieve a gorgeous ceremony locale with a pergola recessed into a stone planter as well as a functional cocktail hour space complete with a granite outdoor bar. The spaces are bisected with a five-spillway three-tier waterfall that adds the calming serenity to the synonymous with water. Hickory Hollow allowed us to turn a major detraction from our facility into our most popular space.
One area that our facility was lacking with respect to our competition was a picturesque outdoor location for wedding and event photos. Hickory Hollow’s vision allowed us to take a section of parking lot and transform it into a formal English garden perfect for photos. Though skeptical at first, Ken’s sketches allowed me to share their vision. What was once two parking spaces is now a photographer’s dream with a wisteria-enhanced trellis and an ornate bench backed by a beautifully planted rock wall.
Our facility was in need of a landscaping overhaul. From design to completion and even now, many months later — Hickory Hollow is there to aid in keeping their vision a beautiful reality.
